Cypher AI Book Generator
Writes a whole structured book locally, with no API key and nothing leaving your machine.
What Cypher AI Book Generator is
Give it a title, an author, a genre and a description of the story, and it writes a whole chaptered book and saves it to your Desktop as a formatted PDF or Word document. It runs Llama 3.2 (3B) locally through Ollama, so there is no API key to buy and nothing leaves your machine. A setup script builds its own environment, installs Ollama if it is missing, and pulls the model.
Cypher AI Book Generator features
What it actually does.
Local and private
Runs entirely on your own machine through Ollama. No API key, no account, nothing sent to a cloud service.
Books, not blocks
Llama 3.2 (3B) writes it chapter by chapter, so the result has a structure instead of one long undifferentiated block.
Twenty-eight genres
From horror, thriller and murder mystery to memoir, self-help and investigative journalism. The genre sets the narrative style and the content.
Your chapters, or its own
Name the chapters yourself or let it plan them. The description can run to 5,000 characters.
PDF or DOCX
ReportLab or python-docx lay out a proper document, saved to your Desktop under the book’s title.
One-step setup
setup.py creates a venv or conda environment, installs the requirements, installs Ollama if needed, pulls the model and starts the server.
How to use Cypher AI Book Generator
From a fresh install to the thing working.
1 Set it up
- Install Python 3.10 or newer.
- Clone the repository and run python setup.py, then choose venv or conda.
- The script installs everything, installs Ollama if it is missing, pulls llama3.2:3b and starts the Ollama server.
- On Windows the Ollama installer may need administrator rights. If that step fails, install Ollama from ollama.com and run setup.py again.
2 Write a book
- Run python run.py.
- Enter the title and the author’s name, then choose a genre from the list.
- Describe the book in up to 5,000 characters.
- Name the chapters or let it generate them, then choose PDF or DOCX.
3 Collect it
- Writing takes a few minutes, and longer without a GPU.
- The book is saved to your Desktop as <title>.pdf or <title>.docx.

Made by Kencypher. Not open source.
Cypher AI Book Generator was written by Kencypher. The source is not published and is not licensed for reuse. You have permission to run it — that is the whole of it.
You may
- Run it on as many of your own machines as you like
- Use it for anything, including commercial work
- Pass an unmodified copy to a friend, free
You may not, without asking
- Sell it or charge for access
- Re-upload or mirror it anywhere
- Rebrand it or publish it as your own
- Decompile it or lift its assets
This is enforced. Re-uploading it, repackaging it, stripping the author's name off it or passing it off as your own is copyright infringement — protected without registration under the Berne Convention — and is pursued with DMCA takedowns to the host, CDN, app store and search engine, platform reports for impersonation, and legal proceedings where the infringement is commercial, repeated, or involves falsely claiming authorship.
Asking first is free, and the answer is usually yes — kencypher56@gmail.com. The only official source is this store; a copy from anywhere else is not one Kencypher published.
Good to know
- Nothing leaves your machine: the model runs under Ollama on your own hardware.
- It detects your GPU by itself. Without one it still works, just more slowly.
- Your input is cleaned and validated before anything reaches the model, so a typo does not cost you a long run.
- The genre is not a label on the cover: it is given to the model as the frame for the whole book, which is why the horror and the memoir come out written differently rather than identically with different nouns.
- Chapters are written one at a time and assembled at the end, so a long book keeps its shape instead of drifting the way a single enormous prompt does.
- Setup is one script: it builds the environment, installs Ollama if it is missing, pulls the model and starts the server, then hands you the prompt.
- Llama 3.2 is Meta’s model and Ollama is its own project. Both keep their own licences.
