Cypher Music
Strips any track down to bare vocals, or leaves you nothing but the band. You decide how much stays on.
Cypher Store is the only true source for this app. Every official build of Cypher Music comes from here. A copy from anywhere else — another site, a mirror, an APK forum — was not published by Kencypher, and nothing about what is inside it is guaranteed.
Windows may warn that the publisher is unrecognised, because the installer is not code-signed — choose More info, then Run anyway. On Linux, extract the archive and run the binary inside it. No installation and no root needed. Android blocks installs from outside the Play Store by default — when prompted, allow installs from your browser or file manager, then open the APK.
What Cypher Music is
Cypher Music is a full offline media library — songs, albums, artists, playlists and videos, all scanned from the machine it runs on. On top of the player it carries two things most players do not: a downloader that pulls audio or video from hundreds of sites, and a vocal and instrument separator that pulls a finished track apart into its vocal and instrumental stems. Both of them run on your own computer or phone, with nothing uploaded anywhere.
Cypher Music features
What it actually does.
Vocal and instrument separator
Split any track in your library into a clean vocal stem and an instrumental one. Take both, take the vocals alone, or take the instrumental alone and use it as karaoke.
Separation runs on your own machine
The same Spleeter 2-stem U-Net on all three platforms — through TensorFlow Lite on the phone and ONNX Runtime on Windows and Linux. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is queued on a server, and it works with the network off.
Phase-preserving output
The model produces soft masks that scale the original spectrum instead of rebuilding it from scratch, so the stems keep their original phase and avoid the metallic ring cheaper splitters leave behind.
Full local library
Songs, albums, artists and playlists scanned straight off the device. No account, no sync, nothing needed to play.
Built-in downloader
Paste a link from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and hundreds more. Pick audio, video, both, or a whole playlist, at up to 320 kbps in M4A, MP3, AAC, WAV or FLAC.
Video library too
Local video playback with the same treatment: sort by newest, oldest, A-Z, duration or size, and mix videos into playlists alongside music.

How to use Cypher Music
From a fresh install to the thing working.
1 Play your own music
- Open the app and allow access to audio and media when asked — that permission is what lets it see your files.
- The Songs list fills automatically from device storage. Tap any row to start playing.
- Tap the mini-player along the bottom to open the full Now Playing screen.
2 Split a track into vocals and instrumental
- Find the track in the Songs list and tap the three-dot button on its row.
- Choose "Split vocals & music".
- Pick Both, Vocals only, or Instrumental only (karaoke).
- Separation runs on your own machine, so longer tracks take longer — roughly a minute of work per minute of music. The stems land back in your library when it finishes, as lossless FLAC.
3 Download from a link
- Open the menu and choose Downloads.
- Paste a link into the box, or tap Paste to take it from the clipboard.
- Choose the type (Audio, Video, Audio + Video or Playlist), then the quality and the format.
- Start it. Finished files are added to your library automatically.

Made by Kencypher. Not open source.
Cypher Music was written by Kencypher. The source is not published and is not licensed for reuse. You have permission to run it — that is the whole of it.
You may
- Run it on as many of your own machines as you like
- Use it for anything, including commercial work
- Pass an unmodified copy to a friend, free
You may not, without asking
- Sell it or charge for access
- Re-upload or mirror it anywhere
- Rebrand it or publish it as your own
- Decompile it or lift its assets
This is enforced. Re-uploading it, repackaging it, stripping the author's name off it or passing it off as your own is copyright infringement — protected without registration under the Berne Convention — and is pursued with DMCA takedowns to the host, CDN, app store and search engine, platform reports for impersonation, and legal proceedings where the infringement is commercial, repeated, or involves falsely claiming authorship.
Asking first is free, and the answer is usually yes — kencypher56@gmail.com. The only official source is this store; a copy from anywhere else is not one Kencypher published.
Good to know
- The same app on all three platforms. The library scanner, the downloader and the separator were each written against Android first; on Windows and Linux they are implemented again against the filesystem, a bundled yt-dlp and ONNX Runtime, so the desktop build opens on your real library rather than an empty one.
- On the desktop, split stems are written beside the track they came from, as FLAC. On the phone they go into your library.
- On Windows and Linux the library is your Music and Downloads folders plus anything you add with Add folder, Add songs or Add videos, at any time. Downloads land in Downloads › Cypher Music.
- Everything runs locally. Your tracks, downloads and separated stems stay on the device.
- Updates install over the top and keep your library, playlists and custom albums intact.
