Elden Ring Build Guide
Generates a themed, printable Elden Ring character build as a PDF, using a local model.
What Elden Ring Build Guide is
Describe the character you want to play and it writes a complete Elden Ring build, then lays it out as a dark parchment PDF: target stats with priorities and reasons, three weapons with their Ashes of War, three armour sets, eight talismans and where to find them, two Great Runes and gameplay tips. It runs locally on deepseek-r1:8b through Ollama, inside a themed terminal where the game’s own characters ask the questions.
Elden Ring Build Guide features
What it actually does.
A themed terminal
Gold on black, animated panels, and Melina, Enia and Roderika asking the questions in character.
Class and stats
Pick one of the ten starting classes, then give each attribute when you are asked for it.
Your vision, in words
Describe the playstyle, weapons and spells you want in up to 5,000 characters, then confirm a summary before anything runs.
Local generation
deepseek-r1:8b streams its answer live through Ollama. Its thinking is stripped out, JSON is enforced, and missing fields are filled instead of failing.
The parchment PDF
A cover, stat targets, rune allocation, weapons, armour, talismans, Great Runes and tips, with pros in green, cons in red and locations in blue.
Knows your machine
Detects the operating system, CPU, RAM, an NVIDIA GPU and CUDA, and whether Ollama and the model are ready.
How to use Elden Ring Build Guide
From a fresh install to the thing working.
1 Set it up
- Install Ollama and keep it running with ollama serve.
- Clone the repository and run python3 setup.py. It detects your hardware, offers conda, venv or pip, installs the packages and pulls deepseek-r1:8b (about 4.9 GB).
- Plan for 8 GB of RAM (16 GB is better) and 6 GB of free disk.
2 Forge a build
- Run python3 run.py.
- Choose a class by number or name, then enter each stat.
- Describe the build you want, review the summary, and confirm.
- It writes elden_ring_build.pdf when it finishes.
3 Tune it
- Change the model with MODEL_NAME in prompt_processing.py, for example llama3.1:8b or mistral:7b.
- Lower num_predict for quicker answers.
- Run python3 systemdetection.py to check CUDA and Ollama on their own.

Elden Ring Build Guide was written by Kencypher. The source is not published and is not licensed for reuse. You have permission to run it — that is the whole of it.
You may
- Run it on as many of your own machines as you like
- Use it for anything, including commercial work
- Pass an unmodified copy to a friend, free
You may not, without asking
- Sell it or charge for access
- Re-upload or mirror it anywhere
- Rebrand it or publish it as your own
- Decompile it or lift its assets
This is enforced. Re-uploading it, repackaging it, stripping the author's name off it or passing it off as your own is copyright infringement — protected without registration under the Berne Convention — and is pursued with DMCA takedowns to the host, CDN, app store and search engine, platform reports for impersonation, and legal proceedings where the infringement is commercial, repeated, or involves falsely claiming authorship.
Asking first is free, and the answer is usually yes — kencypher56@gmail.com. The only official source is this store; a copy from anywhere else is not one Kencypher published.
Good to know
- Everything runs on your own machine. After setup it needs no internet.
- With a CUDA GPU a build takes about 30 to 60 seconds; on the CPU alone, three to eight minutes.
- The model’s answer is parsed into fields before anything is drawn, so a reply that rambles or forgets a section still produces a complete sheet rather than a half-empty page.
- It checks the ground before it starts: operating system, processor, memory, whether an NVIDIA card and CUDA are present, and whether Ollama is running with the model already pulled.
- The build lands as elden_ring_build.pdf next to the script, so a second run does not overwrite a sheet you meant to keep - rename it first.
- A fan project, not affiliated with FromSoftware or Bandai Namco. Elden Ring belongs to them.
